I got a message a couple days ago. And i ask the things I always ask, “How was the week? Good? Bad? Great?”
And, she says that she’s having a good week. Workouts going well. Food is getting better. And she goes on to tell me that she had a NON SCALE VICTORY that she didn’t plan on having so soon.
The goal, that she was hoping to accomplish in October, was to fit into these pants that she had that didn’t fit.
She said, talking to a friend about vacation coming up, and she wanted to go try on these pants…
And… THEY FIT!
Now, I think that’s awesome. But, it is a risk she took. It could have gone a couple ways.
1. They fit! The hard work she’s been doing is being seen.
2. They don’t fit…
A) Gets discouraged by the effort of the last 2 months
B) Motivates her to go harder
But, they fit! And that’s a really big win. The confidence it builds. The reassurance of the process. The knowing that the hard work is paying off.
You may not always see it. The scale may tell you something different on different days. But, how you feel. How does your clothes fit you. They are big markers on your progress.
